Dear Dr. Davies

It has been remiss of me not to have written before.

In answer to the question below I would say that I am totally satisfied.  In fact, I would go so far as to say that the operation has changed my life.  Previously, I have never been able to run and whilst I could walk, anything more than a few hundred metres would put my back in spasm for a few days.

Now I can run on a treadmill, not for long, but as part of a fitness programme and I regularly walk miles. I can’t say that I have no back pain, but I take anti-inflammatory medication much less frequently than before.   In addition, although the soles of my feet still feel sore from time to time, the tops of my feet don’t hurt at all.

Not having any medical knowledge I can’t begin to imagine why a small operation on the back of my knees has made such a difference, but I am grateful to you for your skill and insight.

Many thanks indeed.
