  • I am currently in clinical practice as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Torbay Hospital NHS

  • I qualified in Medicine at The University of London in 1986

  • I obtained FRCS (Trauma & Orth) in 2006.

  • Significant posts include Fellowships at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute in Auckland where I gained experience in managing sports knee injuries.

  • The post of Trauma Fellow at Auckland Hospital managing acute skeletal trauma.

  • Fellowship experience in hip and knee surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford

  • My work encompasses General Orthopaedics and Trauma, with a subspecialist interest in surgery of the knee, in particular day-case partial and total knee replacements, an area in which I am a national opinion-leader.

  • I have been in medico-legal practice since 2014 and have submitted over 100 reports.

  • I have received training in CPR compliant medico-legal report writing via the Bond-Solon and Expert Witness Excellence in Report Writing course in 2014. I have updated my medicolegal knowledge with the 2016 SpecialistInfo Advanced Medicolegal Course, a SpecialistInfo Advanced Report Writing Course in 2021.

  • I can provide expert witness reports on cases of post-traumatic musculoskeletal disease, particularly injuries involving the lower limb and knee, and provide reports and expert opinion on the management of knee conditions such as care provided during knee replacement or soft tissue knee reconstruction procedures.

  • I work for both Defendant and Claimant as well as under joint instruction. 

  • My medico-legal practice is based in London at The London Foot & Ankle Centre at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital
