I first visited Mr. Klinke nearly 10 years ago when I had a very painful ankle.
After a very thorough investigation and X-ray he suggested that I should have key hole surgery to clean the ankle up.
This was conducted without any issues at London Bridge Hospital. I recovered very quickly and Mr. Klinke suggested I should visit the in house podiatrist which I did and as a result wore MBT shoes for about two years to improve my posture and gait.
After about two years the pain returned and I revisited Mr. Klinke. He said there were two options available to me, either to have my ankle fused or to have a replacement ankle and he pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
I took the latter and seven years ago I went into London Bridge Hospital for the operation. I had an initial operation and six months later a second operation to insert a screw to correct my balance. Both operations went well and following physiotherapy
I was able to return to a virtually normal life except no tennis! Seven years on and I have no pain and full mobility. I see Mr. Klinke every two years and both he and I are very happy with the progress. Mr. Klinke is clearly a very accomplished surgeon but is also very competent in dealing with patients and instils a great deal of confidence.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who has similar problems to those I experienced.
