Mr Edward Dawe is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in foot and ankle surgery.
He completed orthopaedic training in London before undertaking a specialist Foot and Ankle fellowship in Bournemouth with Heath Taylor and Nikki Kelsall, followed by a Trauma and Reconstructive fellowship at St George’s Hospital with Alex Trompeter. He has also undertaken visiting fellowships at the Schön Klinik in Munich and at Twin Cities Orthopaedics and Regions Trauma Centre in Minneapolis–St Paul, USA.
He practises at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth in London as part of the London Foot and Ankle Centre. His clinical focus covers both common and complex foot and ankle conditions, with a particular interest in minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery where appropriate.

In 2025 he was elected to the BOFAS Media and Communications Committee, and attends the regular meetings of both that committee and the Clinical Practice Committee.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Dawe has interests in Medico-Legal work and surgical instrument design. He has a longstanding commitment to research, having published numerous peer-reviewed articles in foot and ankle surgery and received research prizes both in the UK and internationally.
