I was treated for an acute Achilles Tendon rupture by Dr Klinke in July 2019.
I was really worried that the injury could cause a permanent reduction in my mobility. Mr Klinke had a very gentle, professional and reassuring manner and explained the different treatment options clearly and objectively, including the pros and cons of each.
I felt I was able to make an informed decision. I decided to go for surgery as I had a complete rupture and wanted to get back to vigorous exercise as quickly as possible. Mr Klinke explained the surgical procedure and I felt confident going into the operating room.
Everything went smoothly and I had great care at the hospital.
I started physiotherapy a couple of weeks after surgery at Mr Klinke’s recommendation. In all the follow-up appointments Mr Klinke clearly explained how I was progressing and made sure I had the opportunity to have all my questions addressed.
He was encouraging and reassuring and I really feel this helped as it does take a good deal of effort to recover from this injury. Less than a year on I was able to comfortably get back to long-distance running and cycling.
I’m very grateful to Dr Klinke for helping me get back to what I love doing.
