Foot and ankle problems

Foot and ankle problems are very common, affecting three out of four people at some stage in their lives.

During the average lifetime, our feet cover over 112,000km, which is equivalent to walking four times around the world. It is therefore not surprising that 75 per cent of people will experience foot or ankle problems at some stage during their lives.

Our guide to foot and ankle conditions covers the most common problems including bunions, flat feet, Achilles rupture, ankle instability and arthritis. It is not diagnostic, but has been developed to help patients make an informed decision about their treatment.
